Basic Fire Safety Training

This course is suitable for all members of staff and is particularly good for persons that have not received fire training before as well as serving as an essential refresher. The law requires all personnel whether employed, temporary or voluntary to have adequate fire training. Attendance on our basic fire safety course will result in compliance with fire safety legislation.

Overview of our Basic Fire Safety Training Course

The aim of our 3 hour Basic Fire Safety course is to empower delegates with the knowledge and competence to understand the dangers of fire, to implement some basic fire prevention measures and to act safely in the event of a fire.Key topics covered during Basic Fire Safety Training courses include:

• Understanding the fire and how it spreads.
• Responsibilities towards fire safety.
• The threat of fire to people, property and business.
• Following fire safety procedures.
• Action on discovering a fire.
• Fire Extinguishers and their uses.

All course attendees will be provided with a Basic Fire Safety Training certificate. To maintain compliance with guidance materials we recommend refresher fire safety awareness training at intervals of every 12 to 18 months.
